THEY LOVE THE WAVES
The combination of a surfboard outline, subtly curved rocker line and generous volume thinned out on the rails through a step deck is a winning concept that fuses glide and stability with great surfing characteristics. The bottom shapes feature concaves throughout running into a V towards the tail. The V in the tail helps to rail up when going down a wave.
Their noses create efficient lift and the thinned out rails produce good bite during turns. The 10’2” and the 10’8” are also available as a Soft Deck version and come in a single fin option while all the other sizes come with a thruster set-up. The Fusions have a really good glide and are happy in flat water paddling, but they love the waves.

PURE WING FOILING
Our pure wing foil inflatable. The compact hull and JP’s superior construction provide a stiff feel when flying on the foil. It is super user friendly because it provides all advantages of inflatables: comfortable and smooth on your skin and knees, light and small for easy transport and storage. More on inflatables? See below...
There is no better JP board when it comes to pleasurable, enjoyable and hassle-free winging in light winds. Pure wing foiling fun!
Top recommendation: The NeilPryde Glide foil fits perfectly and is our first choice – the Glide Wind for beginners and/or heavy weights (for its ease, control and steady lift), the Glide Surf for light and/or advanced riders (for its agility and life).
The two sizes from last year (5’4”x27.5” and 6’0”x28.5”) are now partnered with a smaller 5’0”x26.5”. All boards feature footstrap positions for wing-foiling and foiling.
Inflatables have clear advantages over hardboards: They are super comfortable and user friendly as they are easy to transport and store. These JP inflatable wing foil boards are specially developed and equipped for early take-off, featuring hard rails, Triple Layer Composite Drop Stitch and more. Additionally, they come in JP’s superior welded technology.
Welded Technology: This heat-welded connection was introduced last year and proved to be successful. It creates a very strong mechanical joint that literally fuses two parts into one and thus is superior to the standard gluing. This welding process of amalgamating two different layers into one makes the board safer, lighter and stiffer.
Hard Rails: In the tail, the specially developed, super clean hard rails are covered by a fibre reinforced layer of PVC cloth and create a smooth and efficient water release. Thus, the board picks up speed to take-off easily. Touchdowns are smooth and comfortable.
Triple Layer: They come with Pre-Laminated Triple Layer Composite Drop Stitch, Fibre Reinforced Stringers in deck and bottom and Welded Rails and will surprise you with their stiffness.
Track Foil Plate: The board features a Track Foil Plate of the same size as on our hard boards providing a big range of foil placement. The G10 material adds additional longitudinal stiffness to the hull. On the other hand, this plate is not too long – thus you don’t need an oversized bag but it can still be folded easily into a normal size SUP backpack.
Footstraps: The boards come with three easy-to-mount footstraps for wing foiling.
Comfort: The soft hull is covered with a large, slip-proof EVA sheet for unmatched comfort and a safe stance. You also don’t have to worry about mistakes anymore because you won’t get hurt when falling on it.
Transport and Storage: Rolled up, the boards fit into a backpack – no more need for a car with roof rack for transport or a big garage for storage. In times when airlines are hesitant to accept windsurf equipment, the boards’ backpack dimensions are a major advantage!
ADDITIONALLY INCLUDED ACCESSORIES

Reduced foil track depth [13mm]. Make sure to use the right screw length for your plate mount system!
MAX screw length = 13mm + Plate Thickness
All JP foil boards come without screws to attach the foil. Reason: The screw length has to match the plate thickness which varies from foil and brand, so, screws are provided by the foil brand. But this board features a special G10-track-plate requiring shorter screws, for example:
NP foils will work with M8x18 up to M8x22 screws and because small screws are sometimes difficult to obtain, NeilPryde offers M8x18 screws (allen key head) in their spare parts range.

ALL-IN-ONE
The hunt for versatility stops right here! JPs have always been THE true classics in the Freestyle Wave class because they are super balanced and incredible fun in the widest possible wind and water range. And this latest generation of all-water toys is no exception, providing a compact feel and quick response in manoeuvres. As an additional treat they not only sail faster but at the same time feel more comfortable than all their predecessors. Uniting the core virtues almost every windsurfer is looking for, they truly tick all the boxes as all in one boards!
We beefed up this successful design concept with a big, super-fun, high volume version – the 124!
The demands for Werner Gnigler’s new shapes were not extensive, they were as simple as it gets: Just make them better without sacrificing in any segment. A very tricky task when you are asked to improve our already market-leading all-rounders but with the development of the Magic Wave in his pocket, our shaper already had a pretty clear idea what to do. Werner: “I planned to maintain the proven proportions of width, length and volume as they are key to overall ease and let us offer the perfect balance between all disciplines. The major change I had in mind was that I wanted to re-work the bottom curve…”
Shape details:
The slim outline in the nose area provides the feel of lightness. The centered swing weight further enhances the compact feel and the great responsiveness in manoeuvres.
In the mid-section the outline is parallel creating a big surface for early planing and stability.
Just wide enough for good planing, the narrow tail allows you to maintain control during fast runs over choppy water and – together with the thin rails – bites hard into high speed carving turns and small waves without getting stuck.
The deck shape creates a comfortable stance for all foot strap positions, providing perfect board control and excellent responsiveness. The outboard strap position matches best with a single fin setup and offers the best freeride solution. Alternatively, the thruster fin box set up in combination with the inboard strap option is the perfect tuning for maximum manoeuvrability.
Essential shape details:
The front section of the board features a significant Vee combined with double concaves making the board super comfortable and effortless to sail.
Starting between the straps and towards the tail, the Vee becomes less pronounced resulting in a very curvy rail line and thinned out rails. This is responsible for the outstanding manoeuvrability and grip during turns and further improves the wave heritage of these boards.
The rocker was reduced along the centre, not only boosting the performance level in blasting mode but also resulting in a more comfortable stance due to the loose and stable water position of the new shapes.
Coming with the same layup as the Freestyle boards, the FSWs in Pro Edition feature a Carbon Innegra deck! (also see technology)
Additionally, all Pro Edition sizes come with the JP Foil-Powerbox and are ready for foil action! Even the small FSW 78 features this reinforced fin box which probably makes it the smallest board for foiling on the market. This box widens the total wind range and opens the options for this new discipline of ‘flying’.
All Freestyle Waves come with thruster fin boxes: The main Powerbox and two side fin boxes and covers (PRO: with two small side fins).
G-10 fin: The Pro Edition boards come with a fin featuring a lot of area at the tip, a curvy outline and a smooth swept back rake angle. Thus, the fin provides more drive and a secure, steady ride in combination with outstanding manoeuvrability.
NOTE: The ES boards come with the standard Powerbox and only the PRO models feature JP’s specially reinforced Foil-Powerbox.
Due to popular demand, the line now comes with a bigger model: The design features identical shape details to all the other sizes with some minor adjustments: The 124 L board is slightly longer (235 cm) and the tail slightly wider to fit the needs of the target group in lighter winds. A perfectly balanced board with a huge range of use guaranteed.
This is the most manoeuvrable and versatile JP board in this volume range!
It has been said before and has to be pointed out again: The Freestyle Wave concept is the ideal option for 99% of coastal-sailing recreational windsurfers. The Freestyle Wave offers so many tuning options that it can be set up perfectly for any given day, no matter what the conditions. It’s an ideal all-round high wind board for both, blasting and bump & jump sailing. It also shines as a powerful, all-round wave board for lighter winds, heavier sailors or difficult conditions and is great fun especially for huge jumps and fast carves in side to side onshore conditions.
Hassle-free medium to high wind freeriding, bump and jump blasting, classic freestyle, high speed carving, wave sailing..... You name it and the Freestyle Wave has it in its bag. Still as all-round as ever, these lively and versatile shapes are JP’s fastest and most manoeuvrable all-water toys.
No matter the conditions, you’ll simply have the best time on the water – easy!

STEADY STYLE
JP’s range of Freestyle boards undergoes a steady and consistent development process. Consequently, the boards are the latest, subtle evolutions of highly successful and event winning shapes. They balance the power required for early planing on freshwater with the control needed when the conditions get wavy and rough. They also provide the necessary speed for an impressive take-off from small chop and loads of power for a second or third pop for multiple rotations. Easy to handle and forgiving, these Freestyle boards thrive and perform on flat water and in waves alike.
Year after year, the four JP Freestyle boards stand out as state of the art. As the boards have such a wide range of use, shaper Werner Gnigler’s target was and is to improve characteristics only when sure not to compromise on any other range of use. After all, the boards have to perform at fun events on freshwater as well as in PWA and EFPT hard core freestyle events on the sea. In the end, the production boards always represent a great and ‘complete’ package, overall. The focus of the latest designs was on stability! The boards gained ease of use which helps to maintain speed for maximum pop – no matter if sailing regular or switch stance.
But they are more than just conventional freestyle boards. All sizes come with JP’s reinforced Foil-Powerbox and their compact and wide shapes make them ideal toys for foil riding! This widens the range of use of your “small” gear: Just mount a foil and fly – while other freestylers with their normal fins are stuck on the beach waiting for the wind to pick up. JP’s short Freestyle boards provide enough ease and stability to pick up this new segment of our sport quite easily. On the other hand you can push your limits and also pull-off your first crazy moves at the EFPT “foilstyle” events.
And although not specially designed and tuned for it, the shape dimensions also allow for the use of a wing.
Shape details:
The scoop rocker line in the mid-section of the board is flat for effortless and early planing.
The bottom shape has a pronounced V from the mast base forward which –in combination with the soft tuck line in this area of the board– makes it very forgiving. The ride is smooth and relaxed, even when sailing switch in chop and you don’t lose speed when going for double moves. These features also prevent the rail from catching during sliding moves.
The tail features sufficient width and area for efficient pop in light winds. At the same time, the tail is not too big for explosive pop when the wind picks up.
The noticeable curve in the outline and centered volume distribution brings the swing weight close to the mast base. Rotations happen a lot quicker and moves become more radical.
Towards the tail we run a defined tuck line in combination with a rather flat V bottom shape. These features create instant power, fantastic grip and a loose ride.
The fin is big enough to support all powerful moves and faster action.
The JP Freestyle boards accelerate superbly for powerful jumps. Their short, compact shapes enhance the handling in all moves and speed up all rotations. The lively and direct feel builds confidence so that amateurs and pros alike will pull-off more moves in greater style. And the Foil-Powerbox widens the range of use.

SPORTY FREERIDE
Positioned right in the centre of the popular freeride class, these boards are simply great all-rounders. With these shapes every rider can reach high speeds easily, even when not fully powered. Additionally, the boards have control in abundance, hence, they ignore chop and their performance seems to have no limits when the conditions get rough. Hassle-free freeride performance for everybody: They are fun to sail and a treat to gybe. What they provide simply is a Super Ride!
The WindSurfing magazine passed the verdict, “… infallible riding comfort, a versatility to adapt to rider abilities and genuinely accessible performance …” What more could any freerider want?
And ‘accessible performance’ is, what sets this board apart from other freeride boards: the combination of user-friendliness is inextricably linked to performance in every aspect of freeriding. So, it really is fast and at the same time easy to control. In fact, it will be faster than the Super Sport for all riders who don’t wish to sail overpowered or don’t have the ability or physical strength to muscle down big sails and commit to a locked-in stance.
The slim hull contributes to the board’s smoothness – be it on downwind runs at top pace or in high-speed manoeuvres. Being narrower throughout than the Super Sport, especially in the tail, makes it easier to rail-up the board and carve through high speed gybes. When pushing the rail harder, it bites more aggressively, adapting the radius according to the changing demands of the rider.
This is also the main difference from the Magic Ride: the Super Ride is faster – comfortably – and the narrower hull makes it feel smother when carved into gybes at higher speeds.
Shape details
The long, wide hull creates a big planing surface. As a result, it was possible to keep the rails thin throughout the whole length which provides optimal grip once the rail is set. Together with the ergonomic deck shape, the rail also makes for a super comfortable stance in every strap position. And no matter whether you chose the inboard or outboard option, it is always easy to get into and out of the foot straps.
The tail is wide and rounded, providing a big planing surface. The curved tail outline makes all kinds of gybes easy and staying on the plane throughout the gybe comes naturally.
Be it high speed carves or super tight turns – every rider will push his limits and nail more gybes than ever before.
The scoop rocker line and V flow come from our Slalom board range. The Super Ride has a high, loose water position and gives you the confidence of stability when speeding over chop.
Positioned right in the centre of the popular freeride class, all Super Rides are simply great all-round boards for every rider! The 3 big models are from the second shape generation and are not only available in LXT but also in ES technology. They are slightly longer in order to get going easily – especially for passive early planing. Their overall width enlarges the planing surface and improves stability.

MAGIC MANOEUVRE FREERIDE
Stunning boards which do everything you‘d expect from a freeride board – and they do it exceptionally well and exceptionally easily! Feeling playful and small, they sit high on the water, delivering the lively and sporty feel which makes windsurfing so exciting. They are fast, yet super easy to sail and control. These wide and thin boards willingly plane early. Their gybing potential impresses riders of all levels!
Since its inception, this line has been a magic blend of everything an advanced rider wants from their funboard. While the originals focussed on ease, the second generation turned out more agile and lively. The shapes of this 3rd generation feature significantly improved control at speed and through chop, resulting in a sporty and energetic character which is incredibly easy to handle.
Consequently, these boards ride smooth and fast. They gybe willingly and carve into and through turns with ease. They surprise being JP’s most playful and manoeuvre oriented freeride boards. The magic of these boards pushes the performance and fun factor to the next level.
The Magic Ride is the undisputed ‘Master of the Turn’ in the freeride class: In gybes it feels effortless and refined even in challenging sea states. Still featuring its respected autopilot qualities, the MR requires little input from the rider and its forgivingness will pamper the intermediate rider and increase their success rate in gybes. It’s never been easier to enter the turn even at lower speeds and exit still on the plane – and planing through gybes is everybody’s desire!
At the same time its rail bite and its reliability when carving steady arcs will encourage the more advanced rider to push harder and corner with full dedication: Tighter and tighter turns, classic freestyle like duck gybes and carving 360s will be the name of the game. The Magic Ride can be quoted a bigger Freestyle Wave and is the most playful and manoeuvrable of JP’s freeride boards.
The true freerider: What is astonishing about this board line is its ease and smoothness. You’ll step on it and everything will happen naturally and predictably. The feel is “familiar” – like putting on an old pair of shoes: It just fits! Relaxed and confident you’ll achieve more speed than on previous generations of freeride boards. Despite these easy-riding characteristics, performance and agility are not compromised at all. British WINDSURF once stated that the biggest surprise was its speed and that its performance is comfortable if not exceptional. The hull feels quick, lively and responsive. Planing readily, it provides traction which inspires you to push your fun and adrenaline and to let the board fly on its fin – in control!
Magic Ride 159: Longer than the other sizes, it is stable and accessible and thus the perfect board for anyone stepping down from a beginner board with daggerboard. It is specially tuned for easy, early planing! Experiencing the planing sensation and getting hooked on the feeling happens naturally.
Shape Details

No need for foiling ! Almost no board planes as early AND effortlessly as JP’s Super Lightwind.
No need for foiling !
Almost no board planes as early AND effortlessly as JP’s Super Lightwind. Since its introduction in 2011 it has occupied an almost unrivalled position in the market as one of the only dedicated light wind machines in any brand’s range! Planing in almost no wind and reaching top speed immediately, it rides comfortably, smoothly and incredibly easily for its size.
This is JP’s 5th shape generation of this unique board design and like its predecessors, it benefits from the shape evolutions of the Slalom and Super Sport board and also from the HydroFoil performance boards, too! Consequently, this is JP’s hottest toy ever for all light wind days, no matter if you plan to set up the board with fin or foil.
You have to try it to believe how much fun you can have in almost no wind: Light wind blasting!
The first priority on Shaper Werner Gnigler’s design brief was to combine outstanding early planing performance with an electrifying sensation and a user friendly ride.
To achieve this, the outline is long resulting in a even outline curve for a smooth and effortless transition from non-planing to planing.
Another consequence of this is that the rider benefits from a comfortable, parallel stance and the power is distributed evenly from both legs onto the rail. For a board this size, the shape feels small and alive under your feet, yet is much easier to control than previous models. Definitely a highlight of this shape!
The easy ride and control also show in the board’s gybing ability. Not only does the outline take credit for maneuverability, but the thin and smooth rail shape – especially noticeable in the rear – allows for perfect stance and comfort in all of the various options of footstrap placements, perfectly suited for fin and foil use.
The concave deck lowers the pivot point of the mast base, reduces swing weight and provides additional control when pushing the limits and in carving maneuvers. The sail foot is pulled lower to naturally close the gap between sail and board in order to further enhance light wind efficiency.
The bottom features a ‘transforming Vee flow’ – the Vee is strongly pronounced in front of the mast base for a smooth ride and low-friction touch downs, it decreases between the foot straps and opens up again towards the tail. Thus, the board rides high and loose, ironing out all chop. The transforming V results in a curvy rail line which makes gybing smoother and helps to exit the turn at full speed.
Big cut-outs provide the perfect mix of release and lengthy rail line for control when sailed with fin. They thin-out the rails in the tail making it easy to rail up the board at high speeds and to carve through gybes. When foiling, they also offer extra flexibility, loading up the wings for takeoff.
The board doesn’t require a foil to be big fun in super light winds but for everybody who wants to try, JP’s Foil-Tuttlebox makes it an amazing foil weapon. The board’s volume and size not only get it up on the foil to fly super early, but the width provides the leverage to control the lift of the foil when the winds pick up and the pace increases.
TECH FEATURES
* Parabolic Rail Reinforcement
* Integrated Innegra nose reinforcement

THE boards to enjoy all sorts of foiling fun – easy!
The FreeFoils are amazing all-rounders: Incredibly easy for beginners to just jump-on and get their first flights. Especially the bigger size with more volume will meet the needs of all foil novices. The boards are stable for easy uphauling, and at the same time compact enough for more advanced riders to use this board for whatever style suits them the best.
With sufficient volume and plenty of float, these boards get you up and flying in the lightest breeze.
Once airborne, the reduced swing weights offer a very stable ride without limitations, no matter whether you want to blast along, ride waves, be active in the freestyle-foil madness or join the latest trend – wing foiling. Ease, manoeuvrability, and control for everybody!
Details
Foil Mount & positions:
The strong construction is built to last and can take all the forces that foils put on a board.
The plate mount and Tuttle box fitting cover all needs and rider preferences. Being able to adjust not only the mast track, but the Foil as well, allows the rider to tune this board exactly to their own specific foiling style – and the scale helps you to find the right position for the foil, every time.
Strap positions:
The centre foot strap option with the huge adjustment range is an essential key feature and the base for control over both rails. This grants a safe feel and quick progress for newcomers to foiling as they will stay balanced easily and prevents entry level riders from losing stability in the air.
For experienced sailors the centred straps mean absolute freedom to get creative: The toy of joy offers everything for the advanced rider who wants to push his limits and take his freestyle know-how into the new world of foiling.
The manoeuvre-oriented rider will enjoy flying down smooth swell faces, or even taking it into the waves for some long, effortless flights.
The FreeFoils also come with the common outboard 4 strap setup for regular foiling. They track extremely well up and down wind and allow for a fast and efficient flight mode – ideal for all freeriders who want to use powerful foils and to sail fast.
Shape:
The board is slightly longer than comparable boards from other brands because our tests showed that with this added length, you gain noticeably more control, ease of use and effortless take-off while you only lose a tiny bit of liveliness. This is a clear advantage not only for novices but also for the average and advanced rider who will benefit from the added comfort and ease of use. Everybody who prefers or needs to ride bigger sails will specially like the more balanced feel of the longer hull.
The comfortable deck shape is also very user friendly for the strapless riders out there. It offers the most responsive feel, while at the same time being as forgiving as can be.
Being narrow enough, they allow for easy foot movement during gybes as well as transitions from rail to rail.
The voluminous rails in combination with a small bevel provide lift on occasional touch-downs for a smooth and a forgiving glide.
Trim
The insert options allow you to trim the mast base and foil closer together and quite far forward. This opens a totally new window for the advanced rider as the board gets livelier and more direct for immediate response. So, this option is especially interesting for the freestyle and wave community.
Wing Foil
For Wing Foiling, strap-less or with straps, mount the plate/wing of the foil all the way forward in the track boxes. The boards feature an elongated pad to the area where you stand when winging and for those who like to use straps, there are additional wing footstrap plugs.
Ideal for all types of freeride foiling. Whether it be just cruising along, riding strapless, riding with foot straps, wave foiling, wing surfing, teaching people how to foil behind a boat, or even freestyle, this board can do it all, and does it all REALLY WELL !
Suitable for all conditions and levels.

BEST IN ALLROUND WAVE CLASS
Two years on the market and the board has clearly earned its reputation as one of the hottest all-rounders. It saw excellent test reports worldwide and – even more importantly – the word of mouth from impressed owners has made it an enormous success since its introduction. And the demand of this board does not show any signs of slowing down now that it heads into season three. This all-round wave concept combines and outperforms the best characteristics of our previous, all-time favourite wave designs. The Magic Wave draws from the speed of the Thruster Quad, versatility of the Wave Slates, ease of sailing of the Real World Waves. It also offers incredible speed and confidence on the wave, matching the performance of the Ultimate wave in most conditions, even in waves up to and over mast high. Due to popular demand, this year, the line comes with an even smaller sibling – the Magic Wave 68.
Extremely quick to get planing and reaching top speed, the Magic Wave pops over white water effortlessly and jumps extremely high. It offers both front and back foot wave riding possibilities, gaining speed and control from the advanced rocker shape, beautiful rails and wide, thin, ultra-high performance swallow tail.
Confidence, speed, comfort and grip on the wave all combine into a board that feels carvy and loose on the wave face, while still offering the essential speed needed for more onshore conditions.
Finally an all-round board which excels in mediocre conditions but does not compromise on wave performance. JP’s most exciting introduction to the wave board market for many years.
The concept of a wider swallow tail board with an equally wide nose gave us a stable base for the new board. We worked tirelessly developing a new rocker for this board that is extremely fast without being too stiff on the wave. The very fast, early planing Wave Slate and the multiple award winning Freestyle Wave were good benchmarks. The new Magic Wave equals or betters the Wave Slate in early planing, low end, top speed, versatility and looseness on the wave. And its planing performance comes close that of the Freestyle Wave.
Shaper Werner Gnigler followed a new path by disconnecting the centre scoop rocker line from the rail line. So, the traditionally known rocker along the centre does not exist anymore in the tail area. Werner combined V and concaves along the bottom which created a curvy rail line and resulted in the magic combination of fast, early planing boards with outstanding manoeuvrability.
The more parallel rail outline that we gain from the wider nose and tail really helps with early planing and keeping speed through white water. It also is easier to keep as much speed as possible through the bottom turn in onshore conditions and side-shore alike. You can use a smaller sail and feel less overpowered with this new design which makes wave riding and jumping feel much more comfortable and controllable.
Jumping is easy on this board because the wide nose and tail give more lift when hitting the wave, so you automatically jump a little bit higher. When you come down to land forward and backwards rotating moves, you have more board under your feet and at the nose which makes for a more forgiving landing.
The small 68 follows the same shape and design principles as its bigger brothers but, due to its size, suits lighter riders or provides more control for heavier sailors when the conditions get really gnarly.
The boards come with a set of thruster fins featuring a traditional outline and sufficient area, especially in the tip. Thus, planing and maintaining speed is easier. They are forgiving in manoeuvres and smoothen the ride. The thruster fin setup grants the widest possible range of wave use and the 5-fin box setup enables tuning to personal preferences, giving the boards greater range of use from onshore to down-the-line conditions. Plugs are provided to cover the boxes not used.
JP’s greatest all-round wave design still performs at its best in onshore jumping and wave riding. The Magic Wave jumps higher and rides small to medium sized waves better than the Ultimate Wave but it doesn’t stop there. It holds its own in far bigger waves than you would expect, meaning that you can really choose 1 board for 90% of conditions and will almost never be under-gunned in big surf or lacking performance in small surf. Get out and try yourself.

Control and top speed – that’s what it’s all about when you want to be on the podium. The three Slalom boards –62.5, 72 and 85– are designed for blasting at PWA competition speed, rounding gybes at full speed and maintaining control in the broadest range of conditions possible. The added control will also benefit lighter riders, allowing them to remain in control even when fully overpowered and enabling them to get up to top speed quickly and maintain that speed. This year the 62.5 is a completely new shape.
The new 62.5
Together with our team riders we decided to focus on the smallest PWA Slalom size where no foils come into play and this size has now been updated with a completely new shape. That our team asked for higher top speeds came to no surprise as this is what they constantly push for. This has to go hand in hand with improved control. And you only can benefit from both when you nail the gybe and take all that speed through the turn at every gybe mark. To achieve this, our shaper Werner Gnigler adapted the whole board shape to fit the three, main new shape changes:
* Double step cut-outs
* Lifted apex point of the rail from the mid section to the nose
* Widened outline at the tail
The double step cut-outs improve control significantly. The release starts with a shallow cut-out, getting deeper towards the tail of the board controlling the water flow constantly while reducing drag. The cut-outs also thin out the rails which makes railing the board up and initiating the gybe at top speed much easier.
The lifted apex point of the rail keeps the nose from catching and adds control. Its main benefit is that it creates more lift in the turn which boosts flotation during the carve and prevents the board from slowing down, allowing the rider to maintain full speed through the turn.
The wider tail also contributes to maintaining the speed through the gybes and greatly improves early planing and acceleration.
The general concept of this board line:
When designing this line, our focus is to increase the average speed across the race course, paying special attention to gybing where some of the biggest gains can be made during a race. Here, the target was to maintain speed throughout the turn and to exit faster.
The 3 bigger shapes offer an improved, more locked and stable riding position. Far less effort is required to reach and maintain top speed and all of them provide great early planing power and a wide range of use. The tails of these boards are wide and provide lots of leverage towards the fin, resulting in more power and control.
The smooth deck shape guarantees a super comfortable stance. The rider preserves energy to push his limits on longer runs.
All sizes feature an additional pad wedge between the tail straps providing a more connected feel.
Each board size features a unique tail cut-out configuration to find the perfect mix of release and lengthy rail line for control.
From the mid-section of the board towards the nose we lifted the apex point of the rail. That way we gained some volume in the rail which helps exiting gybes with speed.
Beside the concave deck shape we used an additional recess for the deck box. The pivot point of the mast base drops and provides additional control when pushing the limits and during the gybe. “Close the gap”: The lowered sail foot creates the most efficient airflow.
The first cut-outs of the 72 and 85 start much further forward and the curve of the cut-outs increases towards the tail. The tail is re-designed for a more even water flow around the fin in order to provide steady fin pressure for permanent power and top speed. The 72 finishes with a wider inner cut-out for more stability and the 85 with a more pointy finish for extra release. The 62,5 features the all-new double step cut-out.
Six core design elements guarantee the perfect set-up for PWA racing:
DUAL TAIL OUTLINES – individually adjusted to each board size. The cut-out configuration of the bottom outline reduces the wetted surface and creates multiple release points for low drag and high speed. The deck outline over the cut-outs is wider and due to the further outboard rear strap position the rider can load more power onto the fin for more control and speed.
TRANSFORMING VEE FLOW along the bottom – the Vee is strongly pronounced in front of the mast base, decreasing between the foot straps and opening again towards the tail. Thus, the board rides high and loose, ironing out all the chop. The transforming V results in a curvy rail line which makes gybing smoother and helps to exit the turn at full speed.
COMPACT CONCEPT – The parallel outline in the mid-section of the short board maximizes the planing surface at the mast base, lifting the boards onto the plane instantly.
THIN PROFILE – in the nose area reduces drag since this is the part which is affected most by the wind. This, in combination with a sunken deck, means we managed to keep the swing weight centred for great top end control.
DECK SHAPES – Stance
A tiny but essential advantage: The comfortable and ergonomic deck shape guarantees a relaxed stance, allowing the rider to focus on going faster and faster.
DECK SHAPES – Efficiency
The board features the proven concave deck reducing swing weight and now comes with an additional recess for the deck box, dropping the pivot point of the mast base. As a result, the sail foot seals the gap between the board and sail providing ultimate efficiency as well as additional control when pushing the limits and during the gybe.
The 55 and 62.5 come with the normal Tuttlebox. The 72 and 85 feature JP’s specially reinforced Foil-Tuttlebox.

STEADY STYLE
JP’s range of Freestyle boards are the latest, subtle evolutions of our highly successful and event winning shapes.
JP‘s four Freestyle boards go unchanged into the next season. Nevertheless, they still are state of the art because of their super wide range of use. These boards perform at fun events on freshwater as well as in PWA and EFPT hard core freestyle events on the sea. These production boards always represent a great and complete package overall. They are stable, easy to sail and thus big fun for recreational sailors. Maintaining speed easily, they provide maximum pop – no matter if sailing regular or switch stance.
More than just conventional freestyle boards, all sizes come with JP’s reinforced Foil-Powerbox and their compact and wide shapes make them ideal toys for foil riding! This widens the range of use of your “small” gear: Just mount a foil and fly – while other freestylers with their normal fins are stuck on the beach waiting for the wind to pick up. JP’s short Freestyle boards provide enough ease and stability to pick up this new segment of our sport quite easily. Advanced foil freestylers can push their limits and pull-off their first crazy moves at the EFPT “foilstyle” events.
Although not specially designed and tuned for it, the shape dimensions also allow for the use of a wing.
The noticeable curve in the outline and centred volume distribution brings the swing weight close to the mast base.

The "R" stands for Race & Real Lightwind - Release, Rise, Race!
Our all-new 2024 R-Winger range is the next logical progression for the light wind or small-foil Wing foiling. As this new and exciting sport of ours continues to develop at a fast pace, we decided to shift into the new gear. We can well see the early take-off benefits of the very long and narrow Downwind SUP foil boards. While the take-offs are instant, for true Wing foiling the fun is compromised right after the take-off. The boards are too long which makes pumping more difficult and too narrow for comfortable foot switches. That is why we developed the full line of narrower and longer, but dedicated wing boards, R-Wingers.
Everything about this range is focused on generating ground speed for quick take-offs and even quicker touchdown recovery. We made the tuck line fully sharp all around for an instant release. The smooth scoop rocker, the long and narrow outline and the extensive tail cut-outs work in sync to minimize drag and get you into flight with the smallest foil possible. The slightly raised tail rocker makes it possible to push harder on the foil for better upwind angle and faster top speed. The nose deck shape is very aerodynamic for minimal drag even in super strong winds.
The boards are made in the high-end CNC custom line at Cobra with full PVC sandwich, deck and bottom. We took out the carrying handle for cleaner takeoff surface and further weight saving.
These features of the R-Winger define what a modern race wing board, or a light wind board needs to be. Whether it is full on world-tour racing, blasting by your stunned windsurfing and kitesurfing buddies, or just enjoying the cruise in the lightest wind possible the R-Winger has you covered!

Details
Foil Mount & positions:
The strong track construction is built to last and can take all the forces that foils put on a board.
